SUPPLIER PERSPECTIVE
Dupont’s National Sustainable Advisory Council (Now Invista) appointed H2 Ecodesign’s Holley Henderson as a member in 2001. This experience created invaluable insight into how sustainability is implemented in a Fortune 500 company.
Example: The opportunity to collaborate with the Dupont Sustainable Advisory Council who carefully analyzed each component and manufacturing process involved in the extrusion of fiber helped to gain understanding into the challenges and opportunities of supplier eco-leadership. This experience lends insight into approaching certification systems such as EPP criteria, self evaluation, and how to position sustainable messaging in a rapidly changing atmosphere.
MANUFACTURER PERSPECTIVE
In 2004, H2 Ecodesign’s Holley Henderson was selected for the Internal Sustainable Task
Force of Interface
Flooring Systems, owned by Ray C. Anderson, the visionary pioneer of sustainable manufacturing.
Example: From product - to people - to pieces of literature - to places – to embark on the Interface odyssey where nearly every action involved sustainability gave knowledge of how to implement this effort company wide.
Another important element is understanding how to visually express to design oriented clients and salespeople the heart of this complex sustainable history. This humble group says it’s their duty to reach “Mt. Sustainability ” for if they don’t make it, who will?
All of these experiences have built
H2 Ecodesign’s knowledge base of green building materials and how they best integrate into the Design Community.
What is relevant to a Designer?
What will it take for them to trust your company?
How can your product be best positioned with the USGBC and LEED?
Joyce La Valle, Regional Vice President for Interface Flooring Systems:
“Holley Henderson delivered for Interface. We had the great pleasure of working with Holley, articulating our desires and having them fulfilled was a fortunate professional experience for Interface.
