Project: Interface Showroom
Location: Atlanta, Georgia

Rating: First LEED-CI Platinum Level
Size: 7,000 sq ft
Being the first LEED-CI Pilot Platinum rated space was accomplished by the direct result of a very dedicated team and the company’s owner. The sustainable vision by Interface was manifested via TVS’s Interior Design, and Holley Henderson’s LEED-CI Facilitation team implementing the coordination of the LEED-CI Pilot process. (1) The 7,000 square foot showroom is open to the design community and public, including a sales showroom component and offices. One of the amazing aspects of the LEED-CI submittal was that all credits sought in the Site, Water, Energy, Materials & Resources categories were achieved.
Specific credits initiated include:
- Alternative Transportation
- Water Use Reduction
- Optimizing Energy
- Lighting Power and Controls
- Construction Waste Management
- Rapidly Renewable and Certified Wood
- Daylighting and Views
44 credits were awarded the team in order to achieve the Platinum Rating.
The invigorating component of this project was the teamwork between the Owner, Contractor, Landlord, and all Consultants striving for excellence in sustainability.
Project: CDC Building 21, Edward R. Roybal Campus
Location: Atlanta, Georgia
Program: LEED-NC
Rating: Goal of Certified Level
Size: 350,000 sq ft
The CDC mission lends research and leadership to combating many ailments in humans relative to environmental impacts including asthma and obesity. The Owner’s goal to create a building achieving a LEED® Certification worked in tandem with their overarching goals of protection and preparedness related to the public's health. Holley Henderson and team facilitated the LEED-NC process through the CD phase.(1) In this coordination, specifications and contract documents were targeted to reflect the LEED criteria including:
- Reduced Site Disturbance
- Light Pollution
- Water Use Reduction
- Optimizing Energy
- Recycled Content
- Local Materials
- Low Emitting Materials
The project currently has 29 credits and is under Construction with the goal of LEED Certification at the forefront.
